Every ATÉSE garment is made in Italy. No factory outside it, no exception.
TAILORING AND DRESSES
Our tailored pieces and dresses are made by a non-profit social cooperative based in Milan, with production inside the Lombardy textile district.
Our partner operates as a Type B social cooperative under Italian law, a structure built around the employment of people who are otherwise locked out of stable work, including former prisoners and people in social or economic difficulty.
Our partner also helps with fabric sourcing, traceability, and cut and sew production, certified to international standards including GRS, GOTS, and OEKO-TEX. Fabric scraps are donated to local churches and schools rather than discarded.
KNITWEAR
Our knitwear is made by a family run knitwear house in Abbiategrasso, just outside Milan.
Our knitwear partner traces its history to 1976 and has spent fifty years refining a single craft: yarn, weave, and finish. Every stage happens inside their own workshop, from pattern development to final quality control.
They work by the same instinct we do: slow fashion, fewer pieces, made properly.
WHY IT STAYS SMALL
Minimum order quantities are kept low across both workshops, on purpose, so that we never produce more than we can sell with intention.
